I recently learned of a wonderful program - MINDsprinting - that allows students to build upon what they learn in school, and parents (for minutes a day) to participate in their child’s education. For $15 a month:
   1. Students can improve their math or reading comprehension skills at home (or anywhere else they can access the Internet and a printer). 
   2. Students receive a special Assessment Test that determines their individual skill levels, and MINDsprinting reports the results to you (and me if you choose). Based upon the Test results, the student is placed at the right starting point for him/her in the program.  
   3. Lessons are assigned (3 per week are recommended but there is no limit should a student want to do more).  
   4. Students progress at their own individual pace (so the program helps students who are a little behind their classmates and those whose potential is not being maximized in a classroom setting).  
   5. You can access, at any time, a detailed transcript of your child’s performance (which you can e-mail to me) that can greatly assist my efforts in the classroom.
